Tapenade was launched in February 2003 and is owned and operated by Tim Stevens. Tapenade forms part of Best Parties Ever Limited which was established by Tim in 1999. Based in Weybridge Surrey, we have a young and vibrant full time team with a passion for imaginative and innovative food and truly excellent service.

We currently have sixteen fulltime operational staff with the majority being at either senior or junior management level. By allocating our fulltime team in conjunction with our regular casuals we attain a high level of continuity, professionalism, skill and responsibility.

In addition to our full time personnel we have access to the very best freelance management and chefs who support our outdoor catering operations. We fully understand the importance of image; we therefore pay special attention to the presentation of our staff.

We consider both the latest food trends as well as more conservative when creating our menus. These menus are designed with inventive tastes whilst still being practical to serve and consume.

A Wealth of Experience

Within the Management and Chef team at Tapenade we have a wealth of experience in outdoor catering, leisure industry catering, Major sporting events, Government hospitality, client hospitality, restaurants, wedding catering and corporate events and Royal Events from Buckingham Palace to St James’s Palace.

The experience has been gained over the last 15 years working as senior team members managing events such as Royal Ascot, Chelsea Flower Show, the British Grand Prix, the Open Golf Championship, Henley Regatta, Farnborough and Paris Airshows, and countless high profile private weddings and parties.

Within our first year, we achieved nominated caterer status for some of the finest establishments in Central and Southern England, such as Castle Ashby, Syon House and all National Trust Properties.

We strongly believe that the combination of this experience and the hands on philosophy that exists at Tapenade allows us to offer a catering operation that is focused on quality, detail and customer needs.

In addition to our fulltime team we have access to a large number of experienced and loyal event catering staff.

Operating History

Since the inception of Tapenade in February 2003 we have operated hundreds of events which include the following:

  • British Grand Prix at Silverstone in 2007, 2008 & 2009
  • A1 Grand Prix Hospitality Management in Holland, Czech Republic and China, Australia and New Zealand
  • Farnborough Airshow 2004, 2006 and 2008
  • Paris Airshow 2005, 2007 and 2009
  • Decorex Interior Design Exhibition 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008
  • VIP Hospitality at the World Rally in Finland, Wales and Germany
  • Cowdray Park City Polo
  • Gordon Ramsay’s Hampton Court Palace Ball
  • Porsche Hospitality for the Carrera Cup in 2007 & 2008
  • Porsche Hospitality at Goodwood Festival Of Speed 2007 & 2008
  • Epsom Derby for 1500 guests in 2006, 2007 & 2008
  • Seated lunch for 1600 guests for the Archbishop of Canterbury at Lambeth Palace

Tapenade is proud to announce that
the company is now working towards
managing events in accordance
with BS8901.

 
BS8901 is the first sector specific standard for the events industry and has been created to help the industry manage and develop the environmental, financial and social risks that can impact all aspects of event management. Tapenade have now completed Phase 1 (planning stage) of the accreditation as we understand that for our clients, issues surrounding corporate social responsibility are becoming a business prerequisite, resulting in more and more of our customers looking for event management/catering companies that satisfy their own corporate social responsibility policies and are working on Phase 2 and 3.
 
In the coming months Tapenade will be implementing many more policies, procedures and best practice to ensure that the company satisfies the two further stages of this accreditation. This will place Tapenade at the forefront of the exclusive catering industry, being one of only a few UK companies that are currently working towards achieving this British Standard.
